1. Scope
These Terms govern access to and use of HomeAct Legal services, website, documents, and related materials.
2. Engagement
- Services begin upon written confirmation or signed engagement letter.
- Work is performed under Czech law and professional standards.
- We may decline engagements where conflicts of interest exist.
3. Client Obligations
- Provide accurate, timely information and documentation.
- Inform us about facts that may affect the matter.
- Pay invoices according to agreed terms.
4. Services and Modifications
We may update documents, schedules, or processes to improve quality or meet legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not engage in unlawful or harmful activity.
- Do not share confidential materials or access beyond authorization.
- Respect confidentiality obligations applicable to all parties.
6. Fees and Billing
Fees are hourly or fixed as agreed in writing. Prices may be VAT-exclusive. Invoices are payable within the stated due date unless otherwise agreed.
7. Service Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation by Client: You may terminate the engagement in writing at any time. Fees apply for work completed up to termination.
- Refunds: Unused prepaid amounts for unperformed work may be refunded proportionally.
- One-off Services: For scheduled appointments, cancellation up to 48 hours prior may be credited or refunded at our discretion.
- Requests: Email support@homeactlegal.com with your engagement reference.
8. Confidentiality
All client information and documents are treated as confidential and protected according to applicable laws and professional duties.
9. Intellectual Property
Deliverables are licensed for your internal use unless otherwise agreed. Templates and know-how remain our property.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we exclude indirect or incidental damages. Mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by Czech law. Courts in Prague have jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer venues where applicable.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; material updates will be announced on the site or by email.
